Burger Bistro Story

Common Game

For the same price as a Bacon Quarter Pounder with Cheese, you can save over 600 calories by buying Burger Bistro Story instead.

This rather neat burger-flipping sim lets you run your very own fast-food joint. And if you work hard, you can become the latest trend in quick dining options.

While maybe not as tasty as a Big Mac, the game is arguably much preferable to working for a fast-food chain. Mainly because you are in charge from day one. You get to do things your way by creating a bespoke diner and grilling your way to the big time.

More

This sim is the closest many people will come to running a fast-food franchise. Sad as that possibly might be (others may be pretty relieved), Burger Bistro Story is a fun, business empire-building game. Plus, you don't need to go home at night smelling of French fries.

However, a shout out to Kairosoft for making this game realistic. It's not all elbow-bumping, menu tweaking, and incessant burger flipping. There's a lot of back-office stuff to inject a healthy dose of realism.

For instance, before you get to open the doors of your fast food joint, you have to kit it out. Then there's designing your menu after experimenting in the test kitchen. Should you add a BLT option? Or opt for bacon, egg, and lettuce instead? Will customers want a fish fillet with tartar sauce in addition to your regular meat patty?

And this is even before you have reached a position on which side dishes, desserts, and drinks to offer customers.

Yes, there's more to this burger joint malarkey than meets the eye. Once you have opened and hopefully captured the hearts of your patrons, you need to keep on top of staff training to ensure their skills are up to scratch.

Crack this, and you will be providing world-class customer service even during the busy lunchtime rush.

Once you have all the plates spinning, you will want to keep the tills ringing to expand your burger chain. Can you operate multiple stores at once and carve up the opposition?
