Fruit Ninja Classic
4.3 / 5.0
Common Game

You need to know only two things when playing Fruit Ninja - slice fruit, not bombs. It's that simple.

If you have imagined yourself as a Ninja, here's your chance to prove yourself. At least when it comes to making fruit salad.

Fruit Ninja, as you may already have guessed, doesn't have an intricate plot. However, it's a great way to upskill your swordsmanship and have fun at the same time.

More

Fruit Ninja has been around for a while but is still fresh. So if you want to become the best swordsman in your `hood, Fruit Ninja is the mobile game answer. Though possibly the answer to a question you had never pondered before.

To get started with this fruit-fixated game, there are two modes to choose from Classic and Arcade. However, you may wish to go Zen occasionally to refine your fruit-dicing prowess.

Expand your sword skill set, and you will soon be setting high scores, using power-ups, and even special bananas at an expert level. And that's without even mentioning the crazy multi-slice Pomegranate action.

By now, you can see this game is pretty much obsessed with fruit. It's infused throughout the gameplay in such features as:

● The ten-fruit packed Great Wave

● And being challenged to bounce along clouds while not dropping your fruit

All of this takes timing and skill. Plus, you have to mix and match your equipment and experiment to find the best power combination to make progress.

The game garners positive feedback from Android and iOS users alike, particularly for the Arcade mode.

However, opinion is split over the introduction of the XP system to replace the old unlocks. But this is a personal preference rather than anything inherently wrong with the game itself.

While the vast majority of the feedback is positive, the one issue that triggers some people is how the game speeds up to apparently `ridiculous levels.'

PROS

● Eye pleasing graphics

● Fast action

● Practice mode to brush up your sword skills

● Multi-language support

● Age rated as 3+ and 4+

CONS

● It might get a touch tedious after a while

Price - Free with in-app purchases. Some app stores, though, charge $1.99

How to use

Fruit Ninja is downloadable from Google Play and Apple's App Store.

For the Android version, you will need to run Android 4.1 or later. Storage requirements vary by device.

iOS users, meanwhile, will need to part with 238.4 MB of storage space and have iOS 10.0 or later on board.

However, there's a bit of a split between the platforms over the rating. Google Play reviewers have Fruit Ninja pegged at 4.2 out of five. Their iOS counterparts are significantly more generous, with a 4.6 out of five rating.

Though the game is free (for iOS users at least), you have the option to switch off in-app purchases being offered. These range in price from $0.99 to $49.99.
