Human: Fall Flat
5.0 / 5.0
Common Game

For a game called Fall Flat, it does a terrible job of living up to its name. Because far from falling flat, this is one game that's a real hoot.

If you can picture it, the game is a hilarious physics platformer set in a variety of floating landscapes. It's all a bit spacey and dreamy, so you should really go check it out for yourself.

Essentially, each level is a surreal dreamscape the main character, you as a wobbly human, gets to explore. There are mansions, castles, snowy mountains, and Aztec adventures to navigate. Then there are spooky nightscapes and industrial settings, too, with multiple routes through each level. Along the way, you find puzzles that you need to crack to progress further. Ingenuity and creativity get rewarded.

And with new free levels being added, you are unlikely to tire of this game anytime soon. The last update in June 2021, for instance, added a lush new forest level dotted with snowy hilltops, crashed aircraft, and a variety of abandoned heavy machinery.

More

Human - Fall Flat is a refreshing antidote to the usual shoot 'em ups and car games. You can play alone or recruit three others when you need some extra muscle to shift a boulder onto your catapult. Or need a hand to tear down a wall faster.

But it's not all brawn and brute force. You need brains, too, for this game. For along the way, you will find brain-melting puzzles you need to solve.

Though not vital to the plot, you also get to customize your human by choosing from a builder, chef, miner, ninja, and astronaut. You can also choose up to three colors for your head and body. So if you want to be a blue-headed ninja with green legs and a red torso, the game has you covered.

How to use

The Human - Fall Flat payload for Android is lightweight, with a storage space requirement of just 43 MB. In addition, it will run on anything above Android 5.0.

By contrast, the iOS version of the game requires a storage busting 2.1 GB, so you may need to go on a search-and-destroy mission first before you download it. On the other hand, the iOS requirement stretches back to 8.0.

Both platforms' users agree on one thing, and that's the quality of the game. Google Play and Apple's App Store users are unanimous and give Human - Fall Flat a very respectable 4.2 out of five.
